Itinerary

Day 1

Tumpak Sewu Waterfall

Pickup from Surabaya or Malang. Drive to Lumajang. Trek to the base of Tumpak Sewu — Java's most spectacular waterfall. Explore Goa Tetes cave. Overnight near the waterfall.

Day 2

Transfer to Bromo

Optional Madakaripura Waterfall en route. Scenic drive to the Bromo Tengger area. Check in to hotel.

Day 3

Bromo Sunrise & Ijen

Pre-dawn jeep to sunrise viewpoint. Crater hike. Sea of Sand. Afternoon drive east to Banyuwangi for Ijen.

Day 4

Ijen Blue Fire & Departure

Midnight pickup for Ijen blue fire trek. Sunrise over the turquoise lake. Drop-off at Banyuwangi ferry port or airport.

Why is Tumpak Sewu done first?+

Geographically it makes sense — Tumpak Sewu is west of Bromo and Ijen is east. Doing it first means you travel west-to-east with no backtracking.

Do I need water shoes for Tumpak Sewu?+

Yes — water shoes are essential for the canyon descent. We strongly recommend bringing your own.

Is this tour suitable for all fitness levels?+

Each day is independently manageable. Tumpak Sewu descent is the most physical. Many guests aged 50+ complete this tour without issue.

Where does the tour finish?+

At Banyuwangi port (ferry to Bali) or Banyuwangi airport.

Can we add Madakaripura Waterfall?+
