Itinerary

Day 1
Basecamp to Camp 7
Drive to Kalibaru. Ojek transfer to Pos 1. Trek through dense equatorial rainforest to Camp 7 (Pondok Mantri). Camp overnight.

Day 2
The Summit — Bridge of Death
Technical climb via the Shiratal Mustaqim ridge to Puncak Sejati at 3,344m. Explore the enormous dry caldera. Descend back to Camp 7. Overnight.

Day 3
Descent & Return
Full descent to Basecamp Kalibaru. Lunch. Drive back to Surabaya, Malang, or Banyuwangi.

A narrow technical rocky arête leading to Puncak Sejati, with steep drops on both sides requiring hand-over-hand scrambling with a safety rope. It earns Raung its reputation as Java's most extreme peak.

Basic comfort with heights and scrambling is needed. We provide helmets and harnesses. Guests with fear of heights should attempt Lawu or Rinjani first.
